What is the purpose of a Logo?
April 24th, 2023
Designing logos in 3D is not just an art, its a science in itself which is based around the concept of color hues, graphic depth, design angles and most importantly design appeal. Fuelmybrand provides some serious 3D work to give your company or corporate logo a completely out of the box and unimaginable orientation which standard 2D logo design completely lacks.
3D logo can be completed in various different ways for example using different shades of color with the help of gradient effects while combining shading and texture with depth to achieve dimensional look which tinker eye balls.
Lets discuss few samples which we have completed for different companies and see how these 3D logos differ from each other.
1) Edgy and Dimensional 3D logo design:
As you can see from the above sample this is a classic example of 3D shading and texturing through gradient color shades. We have also suggested some close-up views so you can exactly see the detailed effects which bring the overall 3D effects. The drop shadows in this logo define the curves of initials “MW” which forms the emblem design in this logo.
2) Softening / Rounding 3D effects:
The above logo design is a classic example which works well with the architectural logo layouts. This was a contracting and construction firm who wanted a logo in 3D formation so this aspect was suggested through step by step orientation in graphics coupled with color variation and (white usage) to define boundaries and softening the borders in developing this logo.
3) Gradient Color usage in 3D Logos:
Adding multiple color layers or gradients can also bring the magical shiny effects in the logo. Its important to work with light and color shading when adding gradients to optimize traditional colors into glowing brands. In this example we have worked with a yellow color and optimized it with blue in such a way that it gives a vibrant color combination with dynamic effects. This logo graphic lacks the dimension but brings the color out of the logo design.
4) Matte / embossing 3D effects:
Matte and embossing effects are the choice when you don’t want to give the 3D logo much glow and want to keep the design subtle with a smooth raised surface to bring the natural depth out of the design. If you look at the close-in view then you can see the color variation and shading which is employed here to get the desired look.
I hope the above samples have illustrated a great deal about the different 3D styles in which we can work on and turn your existing 2D logo into a dynamic and stunning 3D logo design!
